| Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the training mode of using information products for elderly people that also discover how the factors of the working memory and relevant experiences effect the training mode in order to provide suggestion for elder training. This research is divided into two stages. (1) Questionnaire investigation The purpose of this stage is to understand preliminarily the difficulty when elder people use the information products and their personal attitude, besides, to know the participants・ relevant operating experiences and background. (2) Training experiment In this stage, the participants trained by two modes are evaluated by the operating time and mistakes and compared the experiment data to offer the suitable mode and suggestions. The result shows .Guided Attention Training・ is a better training mode compared with the .Guided Action Training・. The main factor influencing the learning performance is related to the personal operating experience and has little relation to the working memory. Compared the hierarchical menu and directly control menu of interface displays, directly control interface is easier for using and learning. This comes to the conclusion that .Guided Attention Training・ is the better mode for elder people to learn using information products with deeper memory and higher learning performance although it needs more teaching and explanation. |
